Vijay Hotels, which has two hotels in the city and is in the hospitality sector for more than a decade, has inaugurated its third project – Hotel Vijay Elanza – mainly for the business travellers.
N. Shivakumar, Managing Director of Vijay Hotels, told The Hindu on Thursday that the group has invested about Rs. 10 crore in the project and plans to get four-star recognition for it. With 70 rooms, four banquet halls, and three restaurants, the hotel on Avinashi Road will look at business travellers to the city from different parts of the country. The occupancy is expected mainly from domestic travellers.
Hotel Elanza is spread on one acre land and has one lakh sq.ft built up area. Rooms occupy just 50 per cent of the area. Guests at the hotel can have business discussions outdoor and a dedicated area has been designed for it (dew lawns).
