Minister for Municipal Administration S.P. Velumani has asked officials of all government departments to strive hard to ensure that the various schemes introduced by the government over the last four years reached the targeted beneficiaries before December 31, 2015.
He was addressing officials in an all departments meeting at the collectorate here on Thursday. The Minister also asked highway department officials to expedite construction of the flyover at Gandhipuram and to complete the other works carried out by highways department. He also asked speedy completion of the underground drainage work in the city.
District Collector Archana Patnaik, Mayor P. Rajkumar, and other officials took part in the meeting.
