Consumers can pay their bi-monthly power bills in advance to avail various benefits, according to a press released issued by the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco).
In a press release, J. Kalaiselvi, Superintending Engineer of Coimbatore Electricity Distribution Circle, said that by paying the advance current consumption (CC) charges, consumers may avoid disconnection of service connections due to non-payment of bills in time and earn interest of the advance amount paid, which will be adjusted against their future demands of CC charges.
In cases of the occupants being unavailable in their residences for extended periods of time, the advance CC charges paid will be automatically adjusted against the future demands, the release said.
The advance amount could be paid either through section counters or via online payments, Ms. Kalaiselvi said.
