Over 2,000 delegates are expected to participate in the Indian Foundry Congress to be organised by the Institute of Indian Foundrymen here from January 29 to 31.
President of the institute K. Samaraj and the southern region chairman Nithyanandan Devaraaj told presspersons here on Friday that the theme for the event is “Nurturing Manufacturing”. Nearly 10,000 visitors are likely to attend the Indian Foundry Exhibition that will be held as part of the conference.
The programme includes CEO meets, technical sessions and industrial tours.
The exhibition will be spread over 9,000 sq.mt carpet area and will have 400 stalls. Apart from the conference and the exhibition, a buyer-seller meet and Cast India expo will be organised. A model foundry would be set up to demonstrate to students how the plant would function. Overseas delegates will also present papers at the technical sessions.
