The Coimbatore Diabetes Foundation will take part in the 75th annual diabetes scientific conference being hosted by the American Diabetes Association in Boston, U.S., from June 5 to 9. The Foundation will present and display the ‘Diabetes Care Model’ followed here besides setting up a stall.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, V. Sekar, Managing Director of the Foundation, said that the Diabetes Care Model focussed on the quality of life for diabetics.
Diet
It included less of medicine and more of focus on diet, which was the principle method of treatment. Natural diet, exercises, breathing, yoga and meditation would be integrated into the treatment system. Around 20,000 doctors from across the world are expected to take part.
