In times when outdoor spaces are shrinking, here is one that is “The biggest trampoline Park in South India,” according to Mukund R, Marketing head of FunzXtreme, a company that is owned by Chennai-based Praveen Mani and Karthikeyan VLS.
The area is huge covering 30, 000 sq feet and it took six months to complete the project. “We started the work in January and imported all the rides from China,” says Mukund. And the real exciting bit is at the 6,500 sq ft that is devoted to a giant trampoline. It is not only for kids, assures Mukund who says even adults can have a lot of fun here. “We are very particular about hygiene and we will be provide socks for the users. They are also designed to give additional grip on the trampoline surface,”he says. Precautions have been taken to ensure its safety in accordance with international standards. These include protective nets and cushioned pillars.
Mukund strongly recommends the Sticky Walls. “Those who wish to try this will wear a velcro jacket and throw themselves at the wall. Their jackets will stick to the walls and they will have to exert some pressure to free themselves,’he laughs.

Besides hours of trampoline fun, the park also offers 19 video games, dashing car arena, table soccer, snooker, play station and a soft play area for kids. The latter is fashioned like a castle with cushioned walls and floor. It is perfectly safe for children as young as three, he says. A food court serves Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines. “We make everything fresh in the kitchen. There is also a party hall that can be rented for free. We will only charge for the rides and food. The maximum number of people that we can accommodate there is 200,” he explains and says, “We will soon add a hockey and a football turf in the compound.”
