Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre Director P.S. Veeraraghavan has appealed to the young engineering graduates to have a clear vision, sincerity and consistency which will lead them to success in their career and life.

He was delivering the Graduation Day address at the Kongu Engineering College in Perundurai on Saturday. “Vision is like a lighthouse that guides your path all the time. You should always have a vision, sense of direction and purpose in whatever you do,” he told the young graduates. “No vision can work unless one has a clear plan of execution. Vision and action are to be combined to become successful in life,” he added.

Mr. Veeraraghavan said that students should put in consistent efforts towards their goal. “No individual or an organisation can sit on the past laurels and enjoy permanently in life. There is no alternative to consistency for continued success,” he pointed out.

Asking the students to have unflinching faith in themselves, he said that they should not limit their inherent potential. The world presents a number of challenges and opportunities, which the engineering graduates should utilise to bring in positive developments in the society.

Highlighting the programmes implemented by the Indian Space Research Organisation, Mr. Veeraraghavan said that the advanced communication technologies had enabled the implementation of tele-medicine system across the country. Over one lakh people had already benefited from the tele-medicine programme.
