796 projects on display at expo

An exhibition that helped school and college students to showcase their talents in various fields was being conducted at Nandha Educational Institutions here from January 4 to 6.

As part of 10th Innovation Day, Collector C. Kathiravan inaugurated the exhibition, “Vignani 2019”, on the college premises in the presence of K.K. Balusamy, president and Correspondent, Erode Hindu Kalvi Nilayam Matriculation Higher Secondary School, K. Selvaraj, Correspondent, Kongu Kalvi Nilayam MHSS, Rangampalayam, P. Kasiannan, Correspondent, AET Matriculation HSS, and Nalla Govindasamy, Correspondent, SVN Matriculation HSS, Chithode.

As many as 796 projects done by students of engineering, technology, nursing, medical, physiotherapy, and arts and science institutions and schools were displayed at the exhibition. Some projects include, gesture controlled robot, herbal dye, coconut tree climber, women safety app and automation of Vinayagar temple.

Over 5,000 students from various school and colleges visited the exhibition. Also, Kiddo Feast – 2019, an event which includes singing, dance, oratorical and other cultural events was held on Friday. On Saturday, drawing competition was held.

V. Shanmugam, Chairman, Nandha Educational Institutions, S.P. Viswanathan, Advisor, S. Arumugam, Chief Executive Officer, and Secretaries S. Nandhakumar Pradeep and S. Thirumoorthy were present.
