Carrie-Ann Moss as Trinity in Matrix Reloaded – Ducati 996

 

The escape scene from the movie Matrix Reloaded, where Carrie-Ann Moss rides a Ducati superbike is one of the best Hollywood action sequences. Moss, who plays Trinity, is seen riding a Ducati 996 in the high-octane sequence trying to rescue Keymaker from the Merovingian, which involves riding the motorcycle against traffic. The Ducati 996 was a superbike built between 1999 and 2002, which was powered by a 996cc V-twin with 112 horsepower.

Halle Berry as Patience Phillips in Catwoman – Ducati Monster S4

 

Catwoman from 2004 that stared Halle Berry in the lead, is one of the worst superhero movies ever made. Not only did the movie bomb at the box office but Berry admitted it was her biggest mistake. What wasn’t was a scene where the actor rides a Ducati Monster S4, giving motorcycle enthusiasts something to cheer about. The bike was a naked streetfighter with a 916cc V-twin engine producing a healthy 94bhp; production ended in 2007.

Megan Fox as Mikaela Banes in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – Aprilia RS125

The character Mikaela Banes in the third Transformers movie rides a sports bike, a motorcycle mode of the Autobot named Arcee. Megan Fox, who plays the role of Banes, rides the modified version of an Aprilia RS125 with Shia LaBeouf sitting on the rear seat. The Aprilia RS125 is a GP derived race bike, powered by a Rotax single cylinder 125cc two-stroke engine that produces 28bhp. It was in production from 1998 to 2010.

Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider - Yamaha TRX 850

 

In the action-adventure movie Tomb Raider from 2001, based on the video game of the same name, Angelina Jolie playing the leading role of Lara Croft rides a Yamaha TRX 850 in the famous mansion shootout scene. She steals the motorcycle while fighting the baddies and rides the sports bike inside the mansion, jumping and sliding on the bike and shooting bullets at the same time. The Yamaha TRX 850 was a sports bike built from 1996 to 2000. It featured an 849cc parallel-twin engine that produced 79 horsepower.

Jessica Alba as Max Guevara in Dark Angel - Kawasaki ZZR 250

 

In the cyberpunk science fiction television show Dark Angel which aired from 2000 to 2002, Jessica Alba who plays the leading Max Guevara rides a Kawasaki ZZR 250 sports bike. The motorcycle is even featured in the Dark Angel music video named fighter by Christina Aguilera. The Kawasaki ZZR 250, renamed as Ninja 250 in 2013, is one of the most popular entry-level sports bikes in the world; it has a twin-cylinder 250cc engine and has been in production since 1983.

Gal Gadot in Fast and Furious 6 - Ducati Monster

 

Gal Gadot, who became one of the most prominent Hollywood names after her blockbuster movie Wonder Woman, has been vocal about her love of motorcycles and prefers it over four-wheels; she even owns a Ducati Monster S2R. She got a chance to ride a Ducati Streetfighter S in the Fast and Furious 5 and the Ducati Monster in the next edition of the movie, which includes the famous chase sequence over the bridge. The motorcycle in the movie is a Monster 1100 which has a 1078cc L-Twin engine that produces 100 horsepower.
