In the city, it seems like there’s a new fashion exhibition every other weekend. While being a great way to interact with budding designers who require the platform to thrive professionally, the shopaholics in us still tend to drift online to peruse new collections... ones which we can only see and not touch prior to clicking that ‘add to cart’ option. Risky, right?

Well, the perky team at The Pink Post Inc, founded by Mitali Wadhwa and Sharnamli Mehra Adhar, are giving the boot to that sometimes-meddlesome online middleman and keeping things just between us girls. The kaleidoscope of style options are endless, carefully curated and put together to adhere to each city’s discerning fashionista.

A rose by any other name...

Roseroom Couture is a fan of using edgy detailing and out-of-the-box colour combinations and as a result, the tri-city brand is a favourite of Kanika Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Think jackets with chained fringes full-length trousers teeming with tassels, denim tonal ensembles... and even a luxury athleisure line with plenty of mesh

and embellishments. Who knew that you could do the whole ‘workout at 7 but party out at 8’ thing?

Cool for the fall

Known for their on-trend accessories, Delhi-based Kaeros is all about the leather craftwork taking on a freshness

Their Resort 2018 edition revives colourblocking with plenty of fall-friendly hues and contagiously works its way into our closets. And who says Kaeros only makes stuff for girls? Their cardcases featuring little ties; they’re so cool, they surpass that whole idea of the binary and I just want one too. Look out for Kaeros’ cool embossings on pieces like boxy-handbag ‘The Routine’, stud work on the forest green ‘The Petite’ and timelessly simple panelwork on ‘The Cardcase.’

Primal, but not really

Dialling it back to the artisanal and craft traditions, Bengaluru-based House Of Primes pays plenty of respect to the indigo rage and moonlight-inspired hues. Plus, House Of Primes is all about being green down to their

upcycled packaging, letting us know you can pull off a statement or two while looking very on trend. Structurally, the designs at House Of Primes look to be progressive so don’t be afraid to be a little old-and-new school.

My my, Masaba!

Now, while Masaba Gupta’s biggest store is in fact in Hyderabad, this shouldn’t stop you for perusing her latest capsule collection ‘There She Goes,’ a design omage to thenew-age bride who knows what she wants. A celebration of neon pinks and canary yellows with larger-than-life prints on her butter-soft textiles, the line is

perfect to extend summer in your mind. Pictured is the line’s emerald green half and half kurta with flared pants for that ‘I just threw this on’ effortless look. Masaba herself recommends this creation for sangeet or mehendi functions.

Prêt to party

Heralded for being a line that considers itself “for the woman of substance,” Devnaagri does promise a price tag as pretty as its designs. On show at the Taj this weekend is their more relaxed ‘Inayat A/W 2018’ line boasting softer hues featuring delicate embroidery and chic silhouettes for your imaginary summers in Santorini or Goa. The design house is the brainchild os dynamic duo Kavita Jain and Priyanka Jain who continually emphasise, “simplicity is the essence of all.”

Stay on the beach

Swimwear options are sadly at a low in the city; but The Pink Post Inc know we aren’t about that life, so they’re bringing what we cry over on Instagram to the city. Trendy tie-up bikinis, to chicly-silhouetted one-pieces to flattering cover-ups, Kai Resortwear by Siya Nemani invites to join the beach tribe. Inspired by the picturesque beaches all over the world like Punta Cana, expect vibrant colours and clever cutouts to up your Baywatch game.

The Pink Post Inc expo will be at Taj Krishna on September 8 from 11am till 8pm.
