A ‘traditional fiesta’ at Little Kingdom

TIRUPUR: Little Kingdom Senior Secondary School, Solipalyam celebrated its Annual Day recently. The theme for the day was ‘Traditional Fiesta’ and the reception was decorated in the Kongu style. The Chief Guest was Bharathi Bhaskar and the Guest of Honour was A.M Rajagopalan, who addressed the students on the occasion. The students gave performances reiterating national integration through their dance, drama and songs from various parts of our nation. The function ended with a feast which also in keeping with the theme.

SSVM wins robotics competition

METTUPALAYAM: A robotics workshop was conducted by Robosapiens Technologies in association with IIT, Delhi at SSVM. At the end of the workshop a competition was conducted and the top two teams of the school were selected as zonal winners.

The finals were held in Delhi in which the team from SSVM emerged as winners. The team comprising J.Gowtham, Akilesh, Vivekanadhan, and Anandraj of class IX made the best remote controlled robot which would trace the given path with many obstacles at a record time of 22.27 seconds. They were awarded a trophy and a cash prize. Sarvesh Ram, of class IX also won the individual trophy.

Sankara School holds Annual Day

CHENNAI: The primary and the middle school annual day celebration of Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, Adyar was held at Narada Gana Sabha recently. Consultant clinical nutritionist was the Chief Guest. She addressed the gathering on the importance of the right kind of nutrition .The programme showcased dance and music performances by the students of classes III to X. The dance performances were planned and choreographed to depict how numbers are inherent in our lives. Around 700 students participated in the programme.
