The Hindu MetroPlus Lifestyle Show, on at Chennai Trade Centre till June 6, has a variety of products and services on offer

It's a bonanza for shoppers. The Hindu MetroPlus Lifestyle Show, on at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, is a one-stop venue offering a plethora of products to suit the needs of every consumer.

In its 8th edition this year, the retail shopping extravaganza is bigger and better. The aesthetic displays in a sprawling air-conditioned area of 13,000 sq. m include furniture for your home, office and garden, electronic gadgets, home appliances, consumer durables, computer and IT products from top brands, jute and leather goods, apparel and home linen and beauty and health products. There are even stalls where you can strike real estate deals.

If you are looking for gift items, there is plenty to choose from — artefacts, curios, wall hangings, paintings and marble figurines.

There are stalls from other countries too such as Thailand displaying jewellery and knick knacks. Those who have a craze for cars can check out the latest models on view at the automobile hangar and even make spot bookings. The co-sponsors of the event are Maruti Suzuki, Canon, Propshelter, Voltas, Yamaha, Ebony Gautier and Kurl-on.

The others actively associated with the show are Q Bites (food court), Repute (water partner), K Lite (lighting partner), Chennai Live (radio partner) and I ads & Events (events partner).

The food court offers a variety from Akshaya Bhavan, Dhabba Khana, Shanghai Express, Hyderabadi Biryani, Marry Brown, Dominos Pizza, Café Coffee Day, Wraps and Rolls and Heritage/Tropical Ice. The show, which opened on June 2, is on till June 6. It is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. and the entry fee is Rs. 50 per person. Every visitor can take home a return gift.
