A while ago, it was announced that Simbu and Selvaraghavan would team up for a film. The makers announced the title – Kaan – and even released the first look of the movie. However, now it looks like the project has been put on hold, going by the filmmaker’s latest posts.

He tweeted, “The team and I have taken a mutual call to temporarily put the project on hold. It’s great to know that we all share the same vision.” But fans of the filmmaker and star need not lose hope, as the combo will restart work next year. “We will resume the project next year, once we have restructured the finances. In the meantime, I will miss working with Simbu and the crew,” tweeted the filmmaker.

Selvaraghavan, who is Dhanush’s brother, is well-known for his films like Kadhal Konden , 7G Rainbow Colony and Pudhupettai .
