Periscope, by Twitter, lets you watch and shoot live streaming videos. It also has a list, which is constantly updated, of live streams for you to browse through.
It is now available for iOS and Android platforms. It could be the next big thing on any other platform with its easy-to-understand interface and the excitement of finding out what is happening at that moment in other parts of the world.
This app lets you set up a live video shoot by adding a title. It also asks you if you would like to share your location so people can see from where you are shooting.
When you start the broadcast, your followers, who have Periscope, will receive notifications. This way, they will be able to touch the link and instantly watch the live stream.
People can type in their comments while your live video is on. These comments will be visible to you and other audience members at the bottom of the screen. People who watch your video can “like” it live. All they have to do is touch anywhere on the screen and make a heart icon float up for everyone to see. So, your live shoot turns into a conversation where you can interact with the people who are watching your show.
When you are not shooting videos or watching the posts by your friends, you can do a lot of other stuff on Periscope.
You will be able to see three featured live streams at the top followed by a long list of live streams that are being shot by others at that moment.
It has wonderful features that help you discover new videos. While it is not the first streaming app on the App Store, it definitely is the easiest to use.
