Movie: Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai
Cast: : Vishal, Neetu Chandra, Tanushree Dutta, Sarah Jane
Action hero Vishal returns with a romantic comedy avatar after receiving a lukewarm response for his previous films “Sathyam” and “Thoranai”.
Storyline
Karthick (Vishal) is a management graduate whose parents work in a bank. He wants everything best in his life be it a pen or a wife. First he meets Jyothi (Tanushree Dutta) in a bus stop who beats up a guy for teasing her.
He falls in love with her for her courage. Then he meets Priya (Sarah Jane) in a marriage and later meets Tejaswini (Neetu Chandra) whose costumes in the entire film is horrible.
Santhanam, Mayilswamy, Sathyan help the hero in wooing these three beauties. At last Tejaswini comes to know through her father about the true character of Karthick. She challenges and plans him to separate from the other two girls. Ultimately, who wins forms the rest of the story.
Vishal's comedy is pleasing but sometimes he tries to imitate actor Vijay. Prakashraj as the brother of Jyothi's brotherdoes full justice to his role.
Santhanam is like the second hero of the movie who gets a huge applause, even more than Vishal for his good comic sense.
The first half is fantastic with loads of laughter, but the second half is not as good and so you should hold yourself to sit in the seat. Yuvan's music is average except for the background score. Aravindkrishna's camera work is a major plus.
Bottomline: You need to watch the movie specially for Santhanam's excellent humour quotient.
