Even plastic cups are recycled, why can’t we be? I came across this statement when we were asked to take seminars in class. It got me thinking about organ donation.

There are several organisations that work for this cause, but how many of us take it seriously? If we donate our organs after death, we can save many lives. Just imagine; you can help others even after your death.

Statistics show that each day 17 people die because they there aren’t enough organ donors. The practice is often met with doubts because many do not understand the process. Understanding the value of one’s life is always better. Help someone who really needs it, instead of wasting something precious. Don’t think of organ donation as giving up a part of yourself to keep a total stranger alive. A total stranger is giving up almost all of him/herself to keep a part of you alive.
