Model United Nations

This August Stella Maris College will play host to the Model United Nations (MUN), an academic simulation of the functioning of the United Nations, aimed at educating participants on international affairs, compelling issues of global concern and international diplomacy. The MUN will provide a space where college students can come together to debate matters of international concern, with due respect paid to the fixed foreign policies of the various nations. The scope of the MUN does not however end at discussion and oration. In accordance with the rules and regulations of the UN, resolutions will be passed by the Model United Nations during the course of the three days. Another interesting and vital feature of the MUN is that of the International Press, instituted to cover these events. The news reports and articles will be released at the end of each day's events in the form of a newsletter. The MUN is organised in collaboration with the UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan.
