Freud had propounded a theory or two on the male preoccupation with size. If he saw Anams Man, the new menswear store in the city he would probably have something to say about it as well. The spacious store is shiny and sleek, setting a designer mood. When you enter the store you want to whip your sunglasses off your face, rest them on the crown of your head, set your mouth in a straight line and wish you carried a leather tote instead of a knapsack.

A 10-year-old brand that was born in UAE, Anams has been in Chennai for a while as an exclusive store and in Mumbai as a multi-brand store. They now make their entry into Bangalore as the second exclusive store in the country. While the fabric is sourced from Italy, the product is manufactured in Turkey, be it their accessories, denim jeans, or their shirts. The store specialises in international everyday wear, accessories like belts, bags, sunglasses and even socks to complement the outfit.

Anams is a perfect solution for the younger, upwardly mobile generation who would usually have a social life to attend to after they are through with work. While buttoned down, the shirt is formal and works in a professional set up, but once the sleeves are rolled up and the top button undone, the shirt exposes vivid detailing in colour that transforms it into an evening wear shirt. Anams also offers special after sales services like free dry cleaning for the first three times after the garment has been purchased.

Anams has launched denim jeans for the first time in the store. Keep an eye out for their socks with tiny multicoloured cassette motifs and the transistor bags.

Anams Man is located at 2021 Indiranagar, 100 Feet Road.
