My daughter, who is 12, has a lot of hair on her arms and legs. She is worried. Are there any remedies?

Many children have excess hair on their body and face. Your daughter is young and her skin is still too tender for waxing and other hair removal methods.
For the arms and legs, she can use a pumice stone, rubbing it gently on the skin. She can do this once or twice a week, while bathing. This sometimes discourages hair growth. Or, you can make a paste of turmeric and milk.
It is better to grind whole turmeric, rub this paste on the arms and legs twice a week. It is said to discourage hair growth over a period of time, but it may leave a slight yellowish tinge on the skin.
When she is older, she can go in for waxing, which also lessens hair growth over a period of time.
