Boy Scout
He's had many a moniker— ‘brat boy', ‘reckless actor', ‘overemotional man' and ‘possessive lover'. Now, he's added one more to the list. Meet Sallu, the ‘official animal artistes' caretaker'! We already know
about his love for his pet dogs, but Salman Khan surprised everyone on the sets of “Veer” by taking extra care of the hundreds of animals that are part of the film. Cows, horses, camels, elephants — all were under
the care of our man. He had a special affinity for the horses and elephants, we are told, and the elephants were even fed by him during every break.
Street beat
Genelia D'Souza seemed to be having a whale of a time on the streets of Mumbai. Well, she was seen twice in the last week enjoying herself, playing gully cricket and spending the night in a car with her co-star Shahid. No raised eyebrows please! The former was for an on-road event for the reality show “UTV Big Switch”, while the latter was for a promotion of her forthcoming film “Chance Pe Dance”, with a million cameras looking at them and some tea and vada pav for company!
Outstanding student
We like the enthusiasm Manoj Bajpai has for his alma mater — The Barry John School of Acting. Manoj proved to be the perfect shishya , when he dropped all work and responded to mentor Barry John's call. Story goes that Manoj was driving on the Gujarat highway for a shoot, when Barry called him to address his students. A U-turn and four hours on the road later, the actor was delivering a talk to Barry's students in suburban Mumbai.
