Delicious chaat in Malleswaram is virtually synonymous with Sai Ram Chaats on 15th Cross. With over 90 varieties, they have something to suit every palate.

For lovers of traditional chaat , there is the customary bhel puri, sev puri and pani puri. For those looking for something different, the cheese bun puff nippat masala is certainly worth the effort. While it reminds you of the burgers frequently served at popular food joints that never quite fill the stomach, Sai Ram’s bun, as the name suggests, is a mini treat: nippat masala, bhel puri, puff — all rolled into one. Priced at just Rs. 30, it certainly gives you more than your money’s worth.

The other snacks on your must-try list could be the ‘crazy chaat’ (their take on boti masala) and the ‘Sai Ram special’. Having been in business for a decade now, Sai Ram Chaats is never short of customers, claims owner Mahesh R., who plans on expanding the menu further. “We want to give the customers a unique taste unlike the traditional chaat varieties. We’re planning to have close to a hundred varieties soon,” he says.

(Sai Raam Chats recently shifted its premises to #83, 2nd Temple Street, behind Adiga’s Sampige, 15th Cross. Call 9449880933.)
