Here comes another remake. This time Tamil comedy Manjapai made by debutant director N Raghavan, has taken shape in Kannada as Mr. Mommaga . Raghavan directs this one too.
The film stars newcomer Ravi Gowda, whose brother Raghu Gowda is producing the film. It is Kollywood actor Oviya’s second film in Kannada after Kirataka , where she plays the lead opposite Ravi.
The film tells a tale of grandfatherly love, a grandfather’s indulgences for his grandson, and the extent he will go to fulfil his grandson’s desires. Rangayana Raghu plays the grandfather. The film also features Sadhu Kokila and Avinash.
Raghavan himself has scripted the film apart from directing it.
Malavalli Saikrishna has penned the dialogues. V. Nagendra Prasad has written the lyrics. Raghunandan has scored the music.
At a glittering ceremony this past week in Haasan, the film’s audio was released with a concert of music, dance and a mimicry show. Stars Ganesh, Duniya Vijay, and Amulya shared stage with political bigwigs including H.D. Kumaraswamy at the release.
