When I sit checking my facebook updates,
My father says, "Pull out the weeds near the gates!"
When I watch TV eating a chocolate bar,
My father says, "Pull up your socks and wash the car!"
When I am chatting with my friends on the phone,
My mother shouts, "Exams are at your doorstep," in an angry tone.
When I make plans to hang out with my friends,
My mother says, "Eat some carrot instead, It is good for your eyesight".
But I say....
Dear mom and dad,
give me some space,
let me grow up at my own pace.
Don't worry dear parents of mine,
I will grow up ...just give me some time.
