A table fan

September 24, 2012 07:17 pm | Updated 07:17 pm IST

A couple of weeks ago, I had had washed my hair and was drying it in front of a table fan. The fan was running quite well. Suddenly my hair got stuck in the rotating blades. I howled in pain and fear.

My brother who was near by, quickly switched off the fan. He removed the front covering of the fan and disentangled my hair from the blades. It was only because of his presence of mind that I was saved. This is a lesson to all of us to remember to be careful when using electrical appliances.
