Visit to planetarium

February 01, 2010 07:22 pm | Updated 07:22 pm IST

Students of Std V were taken on a study tour of the planetarium. There we saw the 3D show for which we had to wear 3D goggles and later returned. A fine was charged on those who damaged them. When we wear the goggles during the show, things will seem to come near us. The planetarium show was about the solar system. There were stars all above us.

Then we went to a place which was full of mirrors and then to the fun science section. We also saw animals. There were parrots, tortoises, fishes etc. Later, we were shown an experiment. They showed us a flask containing liquid nitrogen. And when they were doing the experiment it came near us. Ajesh touched the nitrogen. When we came out his finger was black in colour.

By then it was time for lunch. After eating our lunch we went to play. We had a wonderful time at the planetarium. When the teacher asked us to return to the bus we were all sad that the day ended so soon.
