National flag

Every country has its own national flag and so does our country. It has three colours in it — saffron, white and green. Saffron colour stands for courage, white colour stands for purity and green stands for good fortune. In the centre there is Ashoka Chakra. It stands for victory.

Our National flag is a sign of the glory of our country. It directs us to lay down our lives for the sake of our country. The national flag is hoisted by our Prime Minister on the Red Fort on Independence Day. It is also hoisted on Republic Day every year. All of us admire our national flag. Our National flag is honoured by the people of other countries also. Nobody in the world can dishonour the National flag. We are proud of our National flag.
