Renovation is on at the Brihannayaki Kalyanasundari sameda Sri Panchavatiswarar temple in Anandathandavapuram, a village on the Thanjavur-kallanai-Poompuhar route, nourished by the Cauvery. Located in Nagapattinam district, Mayiladuturai taluk, the village is 28 km south of Chidambaram Sri Nataraja temple.
The 300-year old temple was built by King Serfoji, who was inspired by Manakinjaru Nayanar. “The Rajagopuram can be completed with help from philanthropists and the consecration date fixed,” says V.
