IN PROGRESS: Sri Panchavateeswarar Temple Rajagopuram.

Renovation is on at the Brihannayaki Kalyanasundari sameda Sri Panchavatiswarar temple in Anandathandavapuram, a village on the Thanjavur-kallanai-Poompuhar route, nourished by the Cauvery. Located in Nagapattinam district, Mayiladuturai taluk, the village is 28 km south of Chidambaram Sri Nataraja temple.

The 300-year old temple was built by King Serfoji, who was inspired by Manakinjaru Nayanar. “The Rajagopuram can be completed with help from philanthropists and the consecration date fixed,” says V. Swaminathan, C/O A.V. Raman, Agraharam Street, Anandathandavapuram, Mayiladuturai taluk, Nagapattinam district, 609103. Phone: (04364)225732.
