I had never thought I would be studying in the U.S, but led by an adventurous trait, I am now pursuing my studies at DeVry University. Networking has always been my passion. So, I wanted to get my bachelor’s specialisation in networking. As I set out to search for the right university, I realised that while many universities provided bachelor’s in computer science with specialisation in networking, the specialisation amounted to a maximum of five subjects in the entire coursework.
I wasn’t satisfied and didn’t give up. Then, I came across DeVry University and felt that its bachelor’s in computer information systems’ programme suited my requirements. To ensure that I was making the right choice, I personally visited the Fremont campus in October, 2014.
I received a warm welcome and loved the location as well, which led me to apply for the course. The staff members were really helpful and I managed to get my I-20 visa application cleared in three weeks.
DeVry has provided me an amazing learning platform to pursue my dream. The professors are highly experienced and possess in-depth industry knowledge. The campus is situated in the heart of Silicon Valley known for its progress in the computer field. I was provided an opportunity to work as a tutor at the library.
I have found immense pleasure in helping other students which also allows me to learn new things. The campus is multicultural and has broadened my perspectives about people and life.
I’m a distinguished 4.0 GPA student and I hope to maintain it till my graduation. I believe that seeking education is a divine goal and the place that offers it gains the highest respect. I come from a tiny picturesque village in Tamil Nadu known as Vaniputhur. It is the gift of education that has brought me all the way here. I’m sure that studying here will take me to greater heights.
