Workshop on functional training exercises

Sports physician Kannan Pugazhendi will be conducting a workshop on functional training exercises on September 19 and 20.

“Functional training can be defined as exercises that are designed to simulate a pattern of movement using a specific muscle in a stipulated order as demanded by a sport, work or leisure pursuits.

During the workshop, different types of functional training exercises will be demonstrated.

They are designed to train the muscles to work together in accordance with each other, thereby making our daily physical demands seem effortless and easy,” says Pugazhendi, director of SPARRC Institute.

The session is open to any fitness enthusiast and physiotherapists and costs Rs. 5,000.
