Royapuram CC lifts GPL trophy

The second season of Radio City 91.1 FM's Gully Premier League (GPL) reached its peak during the grand finale held in Chennai at Integrated Coach Factory Stadium on May 26. The cricket teams —Chennai Royapuram CC and KK CC Mylapore — pitted against each other in the grand finals. The final, marked marks the end of the month-long cricket tournament where different regions of the city competed against each other. Royapuram CC won the GPL trophy and a prize of Rs. 50,000. Actor Nanda graced the occasion and gave away the prizes. Season 2 of GPL was held across 14 cities – Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Nagpur, Surat, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Vizag, Coimbatore and Pune.
