New police booth inaugurated

The booth will be under the control of personnel at F-1 Chintadripet Police Station

A police booth has come up at the intersection of Deputy Mayor Kabalamurthy Road, Chintadripet and Anna Salai, thanks to Simpson & Co Ltd. The police in the booth are equipped with walkie-talkies, microphones, wireless systems and a computer equipped to monitor CCTV footage from four cameras placed at traffic signals at the intersection.

The booth will be under the control of police personnel of F-1 Chintadripet Police Station.

The police personnel will be on duty on shift basis and keep an eye on activities in the neighbourhood and the traffic.

The booth was inaugurated by A. K. Giri, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Triplicane district, in the presence of P. Jawahar, Inspector of Police, Law and Order, F-1 Police Station.
