For new mothers, exercise does not have to mean leaving your child behind and hitting the gym. Fraheen Faheem’s Fitness on Wheels programme allows mothers to bring their kids to the workout, along with a pram. A fitness enthusiast, Fraheen has designed many exercises using the pram.

“It was after my daughter was born that I started structuring an exercise regime for myself, which also involved my daughter and her pram. It worked for me. When I told others, they were excited about it, and this programme was born!” says Farheen.

The focus is on building stamina and strengthening certain areas, including the pelvic muscle, abdomen and legs, and the exercise regime is characterised by a good mix of yoga, core exercises and cardio workouts.

From organising classes in play schools and parks, Fraheen now goes to his client’s houses and teaches them how to stay fit. “Many new mothers find it hard to travel with a child and a pram. So, we decided to take the session to them. If there is a group of five women, I go to one of their houses and conduct the session. It also gives them flexibility of time,” she says.

Farheen can be reached at 9884176348.
