Sonakshi Sinha could easily be singled out among the newcomers in Bollywood as the most sought-after. Just one release (and a hit at that — Dabangg ) and the girl has been signed up for five films, all releasing this year. Obviously, she is rejoicing. “It definitely is thrilling. When something so unplanned takes off in such a great way, it's an ecstatic feeling. I'm thankful for each and every day and will give it my best as always!”

At 24, actor Shatrughan Sinha's daughter is experiencing the heady rush of Bollywood popularity, but she knows how to keep her pretty head firm on her shoulders. Ask her if it is a challenge to remain sensible amidst such overwhelming adulation, and she says, “It's as easy or as difficult as you make it. I'm very proud of my upbringing and a wonderful set of friends who keep me grounded.”

Currently, Sonakshi is happy that international social utility service website Whosay.com has invited her to be listed on its forum. For the girl, whose constant updates on Twitter keep her fans clued into her day-to-day activities, this forum allows her to integrate all her social media accounts into one central platform. What's special about this by-invite-only forum is, Sonakshi is the first Bollywood actress to have been invited. “Whosay is doing very well internationally. It's a useful tool for anyone pressed for time, yet has to interact with fans each day. It helps me monitor my activities from one platform,” says Sonakshi, who follows only those people with whom she has a personal equation, barring tennis player Andy Roddick and funnyman Russell Peters whom she follows as they are her personal favourites.

In the world of social networking, Sonakshi seems quite comfortable sharing her private moments with her fans. “Unlike some newspaper articles that divulge information that is personal or impersonal, true or untrue, SNS give me the choice of posting things that I'm comfortable with and that come straight from the heart. I believe that is what my fans deserve. After all, when I was new they welcomed me with open arms. Now it's my turn to reciprocate the love as much as I can through my films and my social networking sites. So I really don't mind sharing my big or happy moments with them,” says Sonakshi.

In 2012, Sonakshi will share screen space with Akshay Kumar in Prabhu Deva's Rowdy Rathore and Shirish Kunder's Joker, with Ajay Devgn in Ashwani Dhir's Son of Sardar , with Ranveer Singh in Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera and with Salman Khan in Arbaaz Khan's Dabangg 2 . “They're all great roles and very different from each other being in the same Indian space. I love the fact that I'm getting to play such a variety of characters — an NRI in Joker , a girl from Patna in Rowdy Rathore , a Bengali in Lootera and a Sardarni in SOS ,” she says.
