On a wild ride

Pakida, which releases today, follows a group of friends on a nightmarish road trip that they are forced into by an enigmatic stranger.

P akida is about a thrilling road journey and some intriguing incidents that follow, says its director Sunil Karyattukara. Asif Ali, Biju Menon and Malavika play the lead in the film, which is releasing today.

“Five friends are busy with a celebration when an incident turns everything topsy-turvy. Soon they are in need of money and their frantic efforts lead them to George Koshy Anthrapper (Biju Menon). To get the money, they are forced to travel with the mysterious George from Kochi to Madurai,” says Sunil.

His previous film was Chacko Randaman.

Asif is playing the lead role after Bicycle Thieves . His character, Aadi, is an engineering graduate.

Biju Menon’s comic timing and dialogue delivery have won him a new space in films after movies such Ordinary and Romans . “I have enjoyed the hype for my humorous characters but I am careful not to overdo it and have been waiting for meaningful roles. In Pakida , the 54-year-old George is an enigma,” says the actor.

Aju Varghese, P. Balachandran, Vishnu Raghav and Apoorva Bose are also part of the cast. Pakida , produced under the banner of Sagar Cinema, has script by Rajesh R. and Sreejith N. Cinematographer is Sameer Haq and music has been composed by Bijibal.
