Monkey business

Actor Nithin Sathya’s upcoming Paandiyoda Galatta Thangala is a horror-comedy directed by S. Guna Segaran. The film deals with a monkey that gets possessed, and consequently, is the cause of much mischief and trouble. I play the owner of a toy shop. A murder happens in a nearby mansion, and all my toys get possessed by the ghost. The film is a fun-filled rollercoaster ride and we use the ghost idea to create a lot of laughs. Children will thoroughly enjoy this film,” says Nithin Sathya. who is currently shooting for Chennai 28 – Part 2.

Rural recreation

Nikhila, who played Sasikumar’s wife in Vetrivel , is excited about her next release, Onbathu Kuzhi Sampath (OKS). The film, after a delay, is now all set for release. “I play a village belle in the film,” says Nikhila. She explains that OKS is about events that happen around goli gundu , a traditional village game played with marbles. “ Onbathula Kuzhi is a variation of this game, and Balaji plays the hero, a man who’s very good at playing it.”

A Japanese adventure

Having made films such as Orr Iravu, Ambuli 3D and Aaaah , directors Hari and Haresh are now ready with their next, Jambulingam 3D. Gokul is paired with Anjena Kirti, who plays a happy-go-lucky girl in this film. “I play an Ango-Indian girl named Irene, who’s an assistant to a magician,” says Anjena. “The story is about the adventures we encounter and how we finally make our way back to India. The film has been shot extensively in Japan.” Anjena will also be seen in the upcoming sequel to Chennai 28 .
