Meenakshi Dixit has bagged a plum role in Vadivelu’s comeback movie by AGS banner in Tamil. Meenakshi who plays the main heroine says, “It is set against a historical backdrop and it is a comedy movie about Tenali Raman and Srikrishna Devaraya. I play Srikrishna Devaraya’s daughter. The script has been worked on for a long time and it matches his stardom. It was lovely working with him.” Even the film in Hindi P Se PM Tak that she did is a comedy. Adavai Kachina Vennela too awaits release in 2014.

Li’l girl’s big task

Rehana is a proud mother and why not? Her daughter Smrithika Thuhina had not only worked as a child reporter for a television channel, the eleven-year-old had written a rhyme that is shot for a climax scene in 1 Nenokkadine. She says, “While the bus stops and school children alight, the junior Mahesh walks, runs and goes to his house with his memories haunting him. That song is written by Smrithika.” Smrithika’s father is an associate director in 1 Nenokakdine. Devisri Prasad had sent tunes in the email and also the photos and Smrithika completed the job. Both Devisri Prasad and the director appreciated her and Mahesh too in the interviews said he liked the rhyme scene a lot.

Big break

The pretty and vivacious Isha Talwar is upbeat about starting her new year with a dance with Shahrukh Khan, when he attended the Asianet Awards. Isha informs that the entire Malayalam industry, including her, is working in Anjali Menen’s film. After Gundejari Galalnthaindi, Isha did quite a few Malayalam films and two plays in Mumbai. She adds, “I did six shows of the plays, right now there is a special appearance in RED with Fahad Fazil. At the rate in which I am doing Malayalam movies, I will surely be speaking the language soon.”

Thrilled being a villain

The versatile Rao Ramesh is thrilled at playing a full fledged villain from the word go in Krishna Chaitanya’s film starring Nara Rohit titled Rowdy Fellow, he had hit the gym to look fitter. “I play Adusumilli Durga Prasad, I like the way it has been designed. The character speaks in low voice, softly, he is a cold blooded villain. You won’t know what he is upto,” he quips.” Ajay, Posani Krishna Murali..all of them have a good role in it. Next Rao Ramesh is doing a part in Karthikeya, then one in Avasarala Srinivasa’s film and in a Balakrishna film by 14 Reels, then Srikant Addala and Trivikram’s film.
