Producer K. Shanmugam: This is my first film. My friend A. Nazeer Ahmed whose son was a child artiste is well-connected with the cinema industry. Our 20-year-long friendship made me produce this film. Ahmed is the executive producer. I feel extremely positive about this film’s success.

Director C. Rajasekaran: My first film as a solo director was Madurai Ponnu Chennai Payan . This is my second film. Veeran Muthu Raaku was known among the people in the district. I heard about his life story from my mother and thought it would translate well on the big screen.

Hero Kadhir: I was introduced by director. S.A. Chandrasekar in his movie Veluthu Kattu . My second movie was Kondaan Koduthaan . Veeran Muthu Raaku is my third film in which I play a challenging role of a real-life hero. I am eagerly awaiting the film’s release and hope it does well.

Music director S.V.G.: I have grown up in a musical ambience. I am the son of popular music director S.P. Venkatesh. I have done re-recording for many Assamese and Bhojpuri films. I have also scored music for Sri Lankan movies and some Tamil serials. Veeran Muthu Raaku is my first Tamil film. I have enjoyed working on the music of this film and excited with the outcome.

Music Highlights: There are five songs in the album and ‘Vettri Kodi Pidichu’ written by the director and sung by Ananthu and Chinnaponnu strikes the high note. It is a peppy number that’s ode to the rural life. ‘Yaro Yendru Unnai Parthein’ is written by Pazhani Bharathi and rendered well by Prasanna and Priya Hemesh. This duet makes for an interesting listening. ‘Inikkum Inippu Kadai Un Uthatil’, written by Kalaikumar and sung by Naveen and Priyadharshini stands out for the vibrant notes of the trumpet. ‘Bodhai Ethum Nattu Sarakku Naan’ is penned by Mohan Raj and rendered by Harish Surender and Rita. ‘Kalamelam Un Madiyil Kadhal’ is again a duet written by Muthulingam and sung by Rahul Nambiar and Priya Hemesh. The unique sound of the durbuka is the highlight of this number.
