Pitfalls of modern life

First-time director P. Karthikeyan has a background in making ad films. Consequently, the theme he has chosen for his debut venture, Ariyaan, revolves around an ad filmmaker (Aditya from Tollywood). The hero’s involvement with his models, played by Ragini Diwedi (2008 Miss India runner-up) and Sreeji, how he is exploited by them and how he finally comes out of it form the crux. “The film depicts modern life and its pitfalls. Keeping with the times, I have laid a lot of importance on music which is scored by Vikram Varman from Australia,” says Karthikeyan. Post-production work is under way and the music is scheduled for release before Diwali.
