Sri Padmavathi Women's University (SPMVV) Vice Chancellor G. Sarojamma and the academy's founder-President Jaggam Rammurthi were among those who felicitated him with a life-size garland, shawl and memento. Later, priests from the TTD showered ‘Vedasirvachanams' (Vedic blessings) on him. TV artiste and Aata judge Tina was also honoured on the occasion.
‘Young champs' Yasaswi, Sahithi, Lakshmi Pratyusha and Sumasri, the winners of vocal competitions conducted by various television channels gave a scintillating performance and won accolades from the audience. Upcoming child artistes C.B. Ujwal, Manya and others also impressed.
The programme had to be ended abruptly due to objections raised over Tina's dance movements to film songs at the TTD-run venue, which is meant only to conduct devotional and non-film events. Children declared winners of a competition held earlier and who were to have received prizes from Sundaram Master, had to return home dejected.
