TV’s biggest night of the year is here! The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards has kicked off in all earnesty. HBO’s Game of Thrones leads the pack with 32 nominations riding on the back of its final season, and is expected to deliver big-time having been a favourite with the jury.

 

However, the night will also see other favourites in both drama and comedy such as Veep,Barry, When They See Us, Better Call Saul, Killing Eve, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Fleabag and so on dominate the stage, while several Hollywood celebrities such as Amy Adams, Mahershala Ali, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Benicio Del Toro are also up for honours.

It promises to be an event to remember for the ages, with the ‘golden age of television’ well and truly in attendance. Indian fans waiting to see if the likes of Sacred Games or Lust Stories' Radhika Apte win honours will have to wait a little longer: the International Emmy Awards ceremony will only be held later this year on November 25.
