For anyone who’s found a good outlet through their controller, there is no love greater than the love of gaming, or so it would seem! Little wonder then, that the first Gamerconnect Express event of 2019 scheduled on April 7 in Hyderabad, is trending on Facebook posts and the WhatsApp groups of gaming enthusiasts in the city.
With a chance to play and compete in games like now-controversial PUBG, Apex Legends and Rainbow Six Siege apart from checking out the latest devices in the gaming lexicon, it promises to be a heady event for gaming aficionados. It also gives the gamers from the city a chance to experience the latest devices from Dell, Alienware, LG all showcasing games running on the latest NVIDIA GTX and RTX Graphics Cards.
Twenty four-year-old Gagandeep Singh, better known as Sikhwarrior (the name of his YouTube channel), will be present at the event and calls it a great platform which connects games and gamers. The youngster explains, “This is the space where gaming enthusiasts can learn the tricks of the trade. They meet gamers and like-minded people through which they can understand how it works. I’m really excited to be a part of it.”
The streaming sensation with over 70,000 subscribers on YouTube says that a lot is in the offing at the event. “One gets to know about the latest gaming hardware, new games developed and there will be a lot of interactive sessions and gaming tournaments. Just like you have Auto Express for cars or trade fairs for entrepreneurs to meet, this is where gamers can connect.”
Ishaan Arya, spokesperson of Gamer Connect which is organising the event says that the event is going to be an experience-oriented showcase platform. He says, “In the last three years Gamer Connect has always put gamers first and ensures the best possible experiences for both, gamers and the brands behind our various activities. This event is going to give people an all-round experience in gaming and the latest gaming hardware. The city can expect to see the latest updates in the field.”
Gagandeep who started in 2009 with popular games like Counter Strike and Call of Duty says that many people have a number of queries and events like these help them to go beyond the basics. He explains, “Seeing others play is one aspect and playing it themselves is a completely different ball game. This is for Hyderabad gamers to come and have their moment in the sun. It can help them pursue their own careers.”
