Who doesn’t love being surrounded by good music all the time? Haven’t we all wished a concert never ended? Look no further than SOAR. Hosted by Face2Face Foundation, SOAR, or the Sound Of an Army Rising, is an ongoing gospel music festival with endless music.

Song and interactions

Starting from May 24 and going on till May 28, the event promises 96 hours of singing, and interactions, all packaged into one continuous stream of live praise and worship music.

Nickson Goves, Director for Face2Face Foundation, Bangalore, says SOAR “is really the Sound Of an Army Rising. We believe in releasing new sounds every season; new songs of praise and worship that are fresh and resound with anyone and everyone trying to connect with themselves and God.” The dream of Founder and Director Ray William, Face2Face Foundation originally started at his house in Thrissur before branching out to metros in the country. Nickson explains that Ray wanted to spread the fire that was ignited in his heart. “Face2Face Foundation is all about connections and SOAR is what gives us the platform to make them. With musicians from all over the country playing round-the-clock, interactive sessions of conversations, discussions and talks and some great food, SOAR is four days of endless encounters.”

Hosted across metros, SOAR takes place thrice a year – on January 1, in May and September and propagates being surrounded by gospel music all day and night.

The most important aspect of the interaction, Nickson says, is that the audience can take away the fact that they are loved. “There is no greater message than that they can be absolutely the way they are and still be accepted and loved.”

Elaborating on the sound, Nickson points out that while the genre of music is primarily Gospel music, it is very contemporary in nature. “The beauty of SOAR is that we will have some of the best musicians in the field playing and leading the crowds in singing. So this is not a performance. This is a space for everyone to sing, dance, make friends and be themselves. The music does meander to jazz and reggae depending on the mood and how the musicians like to jam. But, ultimately, it is a party. SOAR is a celebration with dancing and singing.”

The singer and musician adds: “One thing I can promise you is that you won’t be left out. Even if you are the loneliest person on the planet, come to SOAR and you will find a friend. We are a very welcoming crowd and we only ask that you come as you are and be blessed.”

SOAR is ongoing up to May 28 at Face2Face Foundation, HBR Layout. Entry free. Watch them live stream on Facebook Live, visit face2facefoundation.com or call 9663538632.
