After months of speculation, Petta director Karthik Subbaraj’s next has been confirmed. After working with Superstar Rajinikanth, now it’s with his son-in-law Dhanush!

The filmmaker posted the news on social media, captioning it, “Yes.... It's official & Happening... Really excited and thrilled to make this very close to heart Script of mine into a Film and show it to you all..Need all your support as always.”

The yet-to-be-titled film is expected to be a gangster drama and will be shot entirely in London. In earlier interviews, Subbaraj had stated that he wanted a big Hollywood name to go up against Dhanush in the movie and had scoured the US hoping to get in touch with someone like Al Pacino.

However, as of now, only Malayalam actor Aishwarya Lekshmi has been cast in the project. She is currently filming her Tamil debut with Sundar C. Aishwarya gained fame for her role in the hit Malayalam film Mayaanadhi opposite Tovino Thomas.

Y Not Studios made an official annoucement on Twitter of the film, which is scheduled to start filming next month. Dhanush, whose last film was Maari 2 , also tweeted about the project. The actor has Vetrimaaran’s Asuran and Gautham Menon’s Enai Noki Paayum Thota in the pipeline.
