IFFI 2018: Scriptwriter Salim Khan to be honoured

Curtains will come down on the 49th edition of the International film festival of India (IFFI) 2018 here on Wednesday with an awards ceremony presenting master scriptwriter Salim Khan a 2018 Special Award.

The award will be given to him for his lifetime contribution to cinema, at the closing ceremony here.

The film festival, which opened on November 20 with the world premiere of The Aspern Papers , the first feature from director Julien Landais, will close with world premiere of German film Sealed Lips by  Bernd Böhlich.

Over its nine-day duration, IFFI 2018 has showcased 212 films from 68 countries, comprising two world Premieres, 16 Academy Award nominated films, six Indian rare language films and three Indian films competing with 15 international films for the Golden and Silver Peacock awards and more.
