Bhadram played the role of an innocent, plain hearted but terribly unclean servant who works for Nassar in Mahanubhavudu .
In person, he is not only wowing audiences with his versatile performances but also with his job and social service camps.
Very few know that Bhadram is currently working as a pain consultant in a wellness centre.
What made him come to the film industry? “After completing my studies in physiotherapy, I specialised in ergonomics that deals with occupational health and safety. Most software professional sit and work in front of computers for long hours and develop neck pain and shoulder pain. I studied in Bengaluru where many employees from IT companies would suffer from such problems. If only they knew the correct sitting position, they could have prevented it. I teach people and talk to them about correct sitting postures and treat them if they fall sick on account of these issues. After my training and specialisation, I moved to Hyderabad and came up with a work and wellness related corporate health services.”
This ergonomics consultant-cum-trainer has so far conducted 600 ergonomics workshops all over India. He travels a lot and suggests safer and better ways to work on a laptop. He advises people to get a laptop stand and take a break every 20 minutes.
As for films, Bhadram who is from Rajamundry recollects being interested in acting since he was in school. His father was a distributor and when he lost money on movies, he counseled his son on the need to have an education and a career.
He remembers his father’s words, “Acting is something you can do any time but studies …you can finish it only at a certain time. He said film industry is not an easy field; one is not sure how many will click.”
So Bhadram went to Bengaluru and forgot about acting. He shares, “When I came to Hyderabad and met my cousin who was connected with films, the interest rekindled. During a casual conversation, I told him that I am serious about acting and showed him a scene; he was impressed. Later I got a video done on a monologue called ‘love pain’. I didn’t load it on Youtube as a director said he would incorporate it in his film but he didn’t respond for a year and a half. Then director Sudheer Verma’s brother Phani suggested I put it on the Youtube.”
Phani introduced Bhadram to a YouTube channel and they told him to come with a concept and they would handle the rest.
Bhadram did a 7-minute monologue and it was uploaded. Director Puri Jagannath was impressed and messaged to meet him. While he gave Bhadram a role as a broker in Jyothi Lakshmi , Maruti gave him Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Mahanubhavudu .
Bhadram also worked in Shatamanam Bhavati . “That is how this doctor became an actor. Lot of people talk about their cinema kashtalu , their struggles here but by God’s grace, I have a profession to bank on if something goes wrong. When you have a back up, your confidence levels are high,” he remarks.
The actor’s next include a role in a Balakrishna starrer and a role in a VV Vinayak-Sai Dharam Tej project. “All actors are capable of telling dialogues in their inimitable style but if audiences are having a great time laughing at your expressions, it means you are sure to have a long span in films. Without a dialogue, saying something with an expression is difficult. I feel good when people say I expressed something well. If I do well in movies, there is a possibility that people will identify me and will attend my health camps. I am working out a programme called Health is Everything… how you can maintain health by implementing small things in daily life.”
