Making an impact with her role of a con woman in Kannula Kaasa Kattappa (KKK), Ashwathy has made people sit up and take notice of her. “ KKK has been my big break in Kollywood. I’m glad that it has impressed people in the industry,” says the model who has acted in several commercials after graduating with an engineering degree.

Getting a break in Gautham Menon’s Neethaane En Ponvasantham and consolidating the chance with a role in Maan Karate , Ashwathy said she was part of two big banners, but had to bide her time to taste success.

“I was among the five girls playing a part in the lead character’s mission in Maan Karate . Just when I thought I was getting lost in the crowd came the KKK offer. Hopefully, its success should open doors for a meaningful stint in the industry.”

Apart from acting, Ashwathy is adept at singing too. She was earlier featured in a single-track video album named Yedachu .

“But, singing is not my first priority now; I’m more focussed on acting and don’t want to disturb the steady flow of roles I’ve been getting.”
