“There’s only one superstar here, and that is Rajinikanth,” declared Akshay Kumar, after the hostess introduced him as ‘Superstar’ at a brand event in the city.

That tag might have been reinforced for the Bollywood star, now that he’s cast in Shankar’s 2.0, Rajini’s film after Kabali. “It’s a dream come true,” said Akshay.

The actor, who was in Chennai representing hosiery major Dollar Industries, is a huge fan of south Indian food. “Especially masala dosa, chutney, upma and bisi bele bath,” grinned the actor, who has fond memories of shooting with Sridevi for Meri Biwi Ka Jawaab Nahin .

Asked about how he manages to keep fit, Akshay Kumar said, “Spend at least one hour every day working out.”
