Priyanka urges cadres to stay alert

Asks party workers to be vigilant near strong rooms, counting centres

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday appealed to party workers not to get ‘demoralised’ by the exit polls and asked them to be vigilant near strong rooms and counting centres.

Her message came hours after the party’s candidate from Mirzapur, Lalitesh Tripathi wrote to the Election Commission, expressing concern about the presence of an additional 300 EVMs in the strong room. “My dear sisters and brothers, don’t lose heart by rumours and exit polls. They are aimed at lowering your confidence and morale,” Ms. Vadra said in an audio message in Hindi sent out to party workers.
