The High Court of Karnataka on Wednesday declined to interfere in the controversy over release of the biopic Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Election Commission of India has jurisdiction over the issue.

A Division Bench passed the order while disposing of a PIL petition filed by L. Ramesh Naik, a Tumakuru-based advocate. The court passed the order after it noticed that the petitioner had already given his representation to the ECI, which is a competent authority to examine the issue raised by the petitioner.
