India’s tour of Australia begins with the shortest format

What with the absence of Steve Smith and David Warner, Australia’s batting heavyweights, due to bans following the ball-tampering scandal, this tour of India to Australia is seen by many as India’s best chance to excel Down Under.

They play across all formats of the game – three T20s, four Tests and then three ODIs. The first of those three T20s will be taking place at Brisbane on Wednesday.

India’s skipper Virat Kohli has made it abundantly clear that Australia are still a world-class side and that his team will not be taking things for granted at any point during the tour.

Late van Dijk equaliser hands Dutch a place in the semis

But goals from Quincy Promes in the 85th minute and Virgil van Dijk in stoppage time gave the Dutch the result they required to progress.
